Our chef, Philippe Leban, has a Michelin star-studded resume. He will prepare contemporary, French-inspired cuisine to your order.

Our function rooms, Eros and Thanatos, are the ideal setting.

Of course, if you want to take the stupendous option, go for a cocktail reception inside or around the museum itself.

Let us know what you like and we'll make it happen for you. Here are some options for you to consider.

A dramatic party space. Art to the left of you, sandstone to the right. Sip your absinthe in the very guts of the museum. The Void holds 200 to 500 of your buddies.

Sip against the backdrop of Sir Sidney's friendly Snake, which spans 45 metres. The gallery suits a cocktail event for 50 to 200 guests.

On the edge of the peninsula and overlooking the Derwent (yes, Mona does have windows), this space holds 35 seated guests, or up to 80 cocktail-style.

Claudio Alcorso's original residence, designed by master modernist Roy Grounds. Also the home of our Brett Whiteley and Anselm Kiefer works, as well as 5000 books. And a fireplace, around which you can lounge or huddle. Cocktail style for up to 60 guests.

A bit more casual. The café can seat up to 40 people, or hold 80 cocktail-style.

For corporate show-casing, or kiddie movie parties. Or adult movie parties, for that matter. Seats up to 63 people.

Party on the plaza, a large, outdoor space with fantastic views of the River Derwent. Throw in a band or two, and arrive by chopper, should you care to up the drama.

Eros and Thanatos are our two main function rooms, which can combine forces to become one larger room.



They are (it is) on the ground floor of the Ether building by the concert lawn, so there's also an option to incorporate a marquee.


The lawn also allows for the optimus prime experience for musos and live gigs, with mobile stages, and top-notch audio, visual and lighting technologies.

The Source Restaurant offers a fine dining experience for up to 80 seated guests, or 150 cocktail style.

Wine and beer tastings and canapés for up to 40 people.

Cellar Door is on level 1 of the Ether Building.

A cosy, elegant spot in the middle of our brand new winery, well primed for perving, or just looking at the view of the vineyard. The barrel and production rooms are visible behind the glass - so you can also watch the making of your drop. Suits drinks for 50 to 100 people.

Get as close as you can to the wine in the barrel room: 60 seated guests or 120 cocktail-style.

Nestle in the belly of the winery. Our tasting room has space for 10 seated guests, or up to 20 cocktail-style.
