River's Edge Experimental Day Camp

‘When the earth is ravaged and the animals are dying, a new tribe of people shall come unto the earth from many colours, classes, creeds, and who by their actions and deeds shall make the earth green again. They will be known as the warriors of the Rainbow.’
—Old Native American Prophecy

Our second market of the year isn’t really a market at all. In fact, there’s nothing to buy. It’s a riverside gathering of people, performance, food and music—with no money whatsoever. So, step outside modern society (take an hour's drive from Hobart) and into our experiment in communal, off-the-grid picnicking. And leave not a trace (aka any rubbish at all) behind you.

And remember: there’s no money in the brave new off-the-grid world, so BYO feast and some drink for the speakeasy. Or set up your own picnic rug stall and barter the day away. See you at the river’s edge.
