Come one, come all—to Berriedale, circa 1950–1970, heartland of post-war Tassie suburbia, for our first market of the year.
There’ll be everything from pre-loved, re-styled white fashion and top stylists to dress you (or come as you are in your best lawn bowling whites and/or pastels) to a book launch by a UK vegetable gardener-cum-cook and a culture clash of sporting philosophies—courtesy of Glenorchy’s Tennis and Bowls Clubs, local skateboarding wunderkinds and BMX legends, including Olympian and world champion Luke Madill.
There’ll also be plenty of stallholders on hand to keep you fed and watered (piña coladas, anyone?), fun for your kiddlywinks, and live music all over the place: performances in a vintage caravan, DJs in an ice cream truck, and anything from ukulele to experimental jazz on the back of a truck. BYO sense of adventure.
