A double work by the great John Cage and director Henning Lohner: a film of abstracted light lancing through space and sound, described by Cage as a piece ‘for solo camera man’; and an orchestral soundtrack divided into seventeen parts.
This was Cage’s only work of cinema, which he finished just weeks before his death. The music you will hear in this version of the work was recorded at the Cologne Philharmonie in 1992, by the Radio and Symphony Orchestra of the WDR, with conductor Arturo Tamayo.
