We’ll be running a nightclub (during the day) in the museum throughout Dark Mofo. Live music hand-picked by Ben Salter, DJs, gloomy corners, drinks. Kicks off at 10am daily. Limited capacity.

Friday 9 June

Who? When?
Morphlink 10am–12pm
Self-taught DJ on a mission to heal humanity with cell-tingling beats.
Saree Salter 12–12.45pm
The voice (accompanied by the corporeal form) of a songstress emerging in the tradition of authentic Tasmanian music and storytelling.
Glitchcraft 1–1.45pm
Psychedelic party prog. Rock, jazz, metal and punk chucked in a blender (and coming out surprisingly well-structured).
Cathy Diver 2–2.45pm
Alt-country / folk singer-songwriter from lutruwita / Tasmania who blends yarn-spinning folk with an intimate, bar-ready style. Wry, honest, and 'tender like a sunburn.'
Ben Salter & Julien Wilson 3–3.45pm
One of Australia's top saxophonists (Julien) joins dayclub creator Ben to build some atmosphere.

Saturday 10 June

Who? When?
Dameza 10am–12pm
Dameza spins on actual decks. None of this iTunes bullshit. Electronica, classic TV and film tunes, hip hop and seventies funk, skilfully smooshed together.
TBA 12–12.45pm

RABBIT 1–1.45pm
Loud, fast guitar music and melodic songs sung in a folk-singerly style. Like if Fairport Convention got Large Hadron Collided with Buzzcocks.
Julien Wilson 2–2.45pm
One of Australia's finest saxophonists (and fan of real-time electronic manipulation), gonna take you on an atmospheric audio adventure.
Lindy Morrison and Comrad Xero 3–3.45pm
Artistic rebels—who broke out together in the Brisbane post-punk scene of 1978—reunite to keep fighting the good fight (and doing good stuff with drums and synths).

Sunday 11 June

Who? When?
Benjamin Vargas 10am–12pm
A house music lover from way back (like, childhood), Benjamin has a wide DJ-repertoire and he ain't afraid to use it.
Emlyn Johnson Band 12–12.45pm
Emlyn 'sits at the drums singing country rock soul ballads in the key of flathead'. With a band.
The Native Cats 1–1.45pm
Mixed-glamour post-punk duo from near here. Bass, beats, crushed Nintendo synth, labyrinths of history and resonance.
Blue Divers 2–2.45pm
Fragile guitar, woozy synths, scattered percussion, flutes and organ drones. 'The band could fall apart or fall asleep at any moment'. Hopefully there's a couch nearby, just in case.
Lindy Morrison and Comrad Xero 3–3.45pm
Artistic rebels—who broke out together in the Brisbane post-punk scene of 1978—reunite to keep fighting the good fight (and doing good stuff with drums and synths).

Monday 12 June

Rainbow Trout 10am–12pm
Upbeat jams, bangers and deep cuts from basically everywhere on the planet.
Willow Nischler 12–12.45pm
Post-punk wrapped in a cloak of alt-folk, guitar-and-vocalsed by a young woman trying to find her place in the world.
The Pits 1–1.45pm
Local (ex-Brisbane) rockers who believe people go to see bands to have a good time: 'no bummers, only hummers'.
Blake Scott 2–2.45pm
Hypnotic, slow-rolling, raspy oz-rock from the songwriter of beloved Melbourne band The Peep Tempel.
Ben Salter 3–3.45pm
Ben's one of our musicians-in-residence, and he put the dayclub shebang together. Who knows what he'll play. Something new, probably.

Friday 16 June

Who? When?
Lucky Pete 10am–12pm
Little bit Panorama Bar, little bit 7am backyard kickon, little bit Boorloo beach rave. 'Raised and fed on a dense diet of cosmic house, horny disco, free-range Italo, Balearica-secco, and Geri Halliwell music videos'.
Don't Thank Me, Spank Me! 12–12.45pm
A two-piece girl odyssey boasting sublime songwriting, very good hair, matching fender axes and disarmingly charming banter. Heavily influenced by rock and roll girl-bands of the seventies, Elton, noughties RnB, and romance.
Mainlanders 1–1.45pm
Mainlanders play new age music backwards.
TBA 2–2.45pm

The Misanthropes 3–3.45pm
An unrelenting combo of thundering drums, driving bass, and sharp guitars. Bits of noise rock, post-punk and lo-fi shoegaze.

Saturday 17 June

Who? When?
Donna Hayze 10am–12pm
Global cratedigger and DJ who believes in record collectors as 'purveyors of a secret history', which is probably true. Dropping classics, bangers, and occasional esoterica.
Georgia Mooney 12–12.45pm
Lush, ornately crafted indie folk-pop with a healthy side of ribald stage banter.
Spod 1–1.45pm
Catchily combines elements of rock, pop, electronic, and hip-hop in a way that sits just on the far side of 'irreverent'.
Seja 2–2.45pm
Roving operator of synths and sings, Seja's tickled the ivories and sung with the 'gurge, Custard and Ben Salter. She also makes very accurate tiny felt replicas of instruments, when not slinging eighties-style synth bangers.
Miles Brown 3–3.45pm
Time for a bit of theremin. Miles looks to 'expand and subvert' the traditional uses of the gestural instrument.

Sunday 18 June

Time for a bit of theremin. Miles looks to 'expand and subvert' the traditional uses of the gestural instrument.
Dan Kelly 12–12.45pm

Tai Harlii 1–1.45pm
Local five-piece toting a unique blend of futuristic RnB and prog-soul.
Nighttime&child 2–2.45pm
Virtuosic / Sydney indie duo with big rock, funk, and electro-infused gypsy jazz chops. And a trombone. Request some Sinatra, you'll not soon forget it.
Ben Salter 3–3.45pm
Ben's one of our musicians-in-residence, and he put the dayclub shebang together. Who knows what he'll play. Something new, probably.

Ben Lawless 1–1.45pm
Tales about the Australian countryside woven into dark, quirky folk music.
Threats 2–2.45pm
Chaotic cathartic thrashing hardcore punk. Say 'howdy' / 'oh haaaaii' to your inner demons; leave spent.
The Young Liberals 3–3.45pm
'Just a bunch of specific entiities trying to get along'. Released a pretty sick synth-driven alt-indie Christmas album last year.
