spectra Ryoji Ikeda
During Dark Mofo, gather in the museum grounds as we flick the switch on Ryoji Ikeda’s spectra—a towering pillar of white light reaching fifteen kilometres into the night. Its virgin ascension to the Berriedale sky heralds the artwork’s permanent new home at Mona.
To mark the occasion, black metal misanthrope Striborg will unleash four nights of blackwave-inspired electronics from the Organ Room balcony, with guzheng, bass clarinet, trumpet and electric violin courtesy of the Australian Art Orchestra. Watch from the Pharos rooftop, or from the riverbank below (ask staff for directions on site). If you have accessibility requirements, please speak to staff on site. Or contact Ticket Support on +61 (3) 6277 9978 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
