A gala day of entertainment that focuses on the era of our elders.

The Art of Ageing invites elderly members of the community, aged care facility residents, and families and friends to Cabaret Matinee on Sunday 4th March, a seated event on the lawns at Mona. Arrive any time, with entertainment between 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm.

Performers include the legendary Nikki Doll, supported by Matthew Ives and his Big Band. Also featuring Sue Collins and The Conservatorium Camerata String Orchestra, the gypsy flamenco group ‘La Rumba’, and hypnotist Matt Hale. The MC for Cabaret Matinee will be the esteemed musician Calvin Welch.

The Art of Ageing is a social artistry work that celebrates the elderly mind—talent, wisdom, creativity, memories, and the moment. Directed by artist Jane Baker and supported by the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona), The Art of Ageing engages the community in a series of activities and events designed to promote a considered and humanitarian approach to aged care and dementia.
